I am a Professor of Mathematics at Norwich University. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario, (renamed “Western University”) in algebra, under the supervision of Ján Mináč . I also have an active research program in graph theory, which includes the participation of undergraduate students. I teach mathematics and mathematical problem solving.

In May 2016, I was fortunate enough to receive the tremendous honor of being named a Charles A. Dana Professor at Norwich University. Here is a press release from our Office of Communications.

My brother Jim McQuillan is a Professor of Computer Science at Western Illinois University and my brother Ian McQuillan is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan.

I am married (with three children) to Elizabeth Reid.
